Pragmatic Philosophy Course
Service Description
This course explores pragmatism as a distinctive school of thought that emphasizes practical results and effectiveness as fundamental criteria for truth and reasoning. Since its emergence in the 19th century, pragmatism has offered new approaches to problem-solving and interpreting the world by focusing on the practical application of ideas rather than merely analyzing them in a theoretical framework divorced from practical experience. The course will cover the core ideas of pragmatist philosophers such as Charles Peirce, William James, and John Dewey, and examine how pragmatism has influenced education, politics, ethics, and social thought. It will also explore how participants can use this philosophy to enhance their critical thinking and practical decision-making in their daily lives.
